Contoh Pidato Bahasa Inggris tentang Korupsi

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, in this occasion today I would like to discuss about corruption. Literally, corruption is an illegal, bad or dishonest behavior, especially by people in positions of power. Why power? If you think corruption comes from the power, then the answer is yes. Having power means that we have chance, influence, connection, and authority to do what we want to do whenever, wherever, and whoever we will be with, as long as possible. So that, we could see that corruptions could possibly happen almost in every part of government or institution's departments.

Corruption widely spreads as a virus from generation to generation that has been successfully bring bad changes in social life. Now, everyone could possibly do corruption whoever he or she is and it is so ironical when a public figure like artist, police officer, stakeholder, politician, teacher, and even a religious people become a beast as corruptor. At the past, people who dresses neatly, speaks politely, treats others well, and represents a real good people should be are recognized as a good people. But contritely, it was so bad when we know that these educated people who sometime looks like a wise man that shares good ideas and shows his kindness are the corruptor. That is the fact, we do not have any good role model because it is different to distinguish which one is good or bad. This is what really changes in our social life today.

Unfortunately, we cannot easily stop the corruption in Indonesia because it has spread well and has been strengthened by failure in other factors like economy, education, etc. Commonly, we think that economy is the most influenced factor why people do corruption. But in my opinion, it is not simple as that. Education is the most fundamental aspect that has been forgotten in this case. Ideally, among three aspects like IQ, EQ, and ESQ should strengthen each other maximally because corruption come when the chance to corrupt comes and we cannot control ourselves to not do that. In contrast, there are so many bad things in our education that lead us to the destruction especially corruption. 

For the example, there is a senior high school student that is not sufficient to pass the test or graduate and finally he could graduate by the power of his parent. This is not the worst because he could possibly not use his certificate to enter any university that is the gate for new bad and good people who will have almost a higher position in any department of Government or institutions. Why I say a University? Can you imagine if an incapable person who has lack intelligence, spiritual, and emotion passes the university and becomes our leader? See, this is what has happened in Indonesia. It is full of incapable person who has made a bad circumstance that is strong and untouchable. Our constitution only stated that a kind of certificate from a graduated person that is allowed to be the representative person in the Government no matter what university it is. We cannot pretend that there are so many cases that university or any other educational institutions passes their students only by money. 

Finally, we have to fix our education firstly because a culture comes from a habit and a habit comes from ourselves. Nowadays, corruption has become like a culture that some people think that it is normal and reasonable to do a corrupt thing. Therefore, we should start it from ourselves first and strengthen it by a good education. This is the end of my speech, thank you very much for your attention.
